March 1, 2015 – March 29, 2015

Operations Bondage Free runs Sunday, March 1 through March 29, 2015.
Individual Awareness/Action by you. Witnessed by the King of King. Your soul is at stake. Fight the good fight with faith. Remove the choke hold of sinful vices. Break free from the bondage of sin choking your life.
----The sins of mankind took Jesus to the Cross. The sins of mankind kept Jesus on the Cross. The Lord could have summoned legions of heavenly armies. Jesus did not; choosing instead to die so that you and I might live forever. One can summons legions of heavenly help—prayer, trust, contrite heart, broken spirit, the Word of God—to remove choke holds which the enemy has placed on you. So that you would be free to enjoy abundant life on earth and life for all eternity.

Make a commitment to participate in Operations Bondage Free Operate with Jesus to eliminate the sins that stand in the way of you and righteous living. Show up with Jesus.  Take a long hard look and discard the sins that so easily control you.

Pure Gospel

DO It For Christ Int’l Ministries is in its 16th year. Hallelujah. We believe in the Lord, that this year 2015 would launch our television channel/network, to reach the world with more digital media and video content. In the meantime we're utilizing social media as a main pulpit for televangelism, using vivid descriptions and imagery to carry the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
Here is the Pure Gospel: Mankind had sinned against almighty God. God demands punishment for sin. Mankind needed a savior. God Almighty sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ. Jesus is a manifestation of almighty God in human flesh. Jesus Christ died to take the punishment for the sins of mankind. The sin debt was satisfied; paid in full. Christ died that mankind might be restored and live forever with God Almighty. God has declared the only way to Him is through Christ. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.
Make no mistake, it is happy and fun in Jesus. It is more important that the sin-sick soul hear and know about freedom and life for all eternity. Christ death was no joke. Christ death and resurrection was serious. Christ love for mankind is intense. The Christian life cannot be only about, “feel good, be inspired, think positive.” The Word of God tells us: “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” It means the unrepentant sinner will not have eternal life. You would be feeling good, all the way to hell if you do not accept salvation. One would be inspired to live your best life, and end up with no life at all if you reject salvation. A person could think positive till doomsday, and be positively in hell because you deny that Jesus Christ is the way to salvation and eternal life.

Do It For Christ, has a greater passion to point a person to repentance; that your soul would live forever, with Jesus. We will employ every method which reaches the saving gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. I believe, never despise small beginnings. Until the launch of Do It For Christ TV we will primarily and vigorously use social media. Do It For Christ is present on Twitter, Website, Blog, and Facebook. You can expect to hear about joy and fun, sin and salvation, sorrow, hope and laughter, repentance and forgiveness, tenacity and courage, live in earth and life in eternity; joy and fun, sin and salvation…all with the same intensity! Over and over. You have been bought with a price. The LORD purchased your Redemption. With JESUS BLOOD shed on the CROSS. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. What matters to Jesus is your Salvation.

Bottom Line: The world will receive truth one way or another from my end. The TRUTH will set us free.

Special Weekend Treat

I thought to share my Birthday testimony as I celebrated turning 50 years old, last year 2014. Someone spoke with me earlier today, needing a boost as they are about to celebrate a milestone birthday. They felt depressed about getting old. It made me see that many people may not realize how aging is a beautiful thing. Who prefers the alternative!? Certainly, I hope  not you. If one is not getting older you are dead. My People: Live life, age gracefully, enjoy every minute of it. If you're celebrating a birthday and you feel downhearted about getting older, perk yourself up!!! Life gets better with age. Here's my tale at 50. The joy of reaching that milestone excites me to this day and keeps me going. Even as the years will come and pass. Please enjoy. If today is your birthday, Happy Blessed Birthday to you!
50! Welcome to my world, Fifty! I hope you are ready for me as I am ready for you. 50, I plan to give you a run for your money. I hope you are ready for a fierce partner. Together lets be fierce. I plan to fiercely live and love. Fiercely worship God. Fiercely serve Jesus Christ. Fifty(ies) I do not plan to sit you out. I intend to dance every single day of my life. Mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually—Oh what a dance it will be.
In the last hours of yesterday, I danced half a century away. I danced into being the beginning of the second half century of my life. Truth be told, for a long while I did not think I would live to be 50 years old. With a grateful heart I say, "Thank you Lord for keeping all your promises to me.” I’d been dancing all night; beginning repeatedly with, “I’m Amazed (Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir). Concluding with one of my favorites, and my theme song for 50, “I Hope You Dance” (LeAnn Womack). I’ve played this song over 20 times this night. Woohoo!!!
Several years ago, I made my peace with shoulda coulda woulda—all my missed moments. Firmly putting all the uglies of life to rest. I realized no amount of hell or hell bent hearts would make me lose my wonder. I embrace passion, love, dance, joy, song. I’ve been given a chance to sit it or dance. Guess what(!) I choose to dance. I agree with LeAnn W. May you never take one single breath for granted. When you stand by the ocean, please do feel small. I guarantee you when one door closes God will open another. Just know that when you give faith a fighting chance, God leaves you breathless! Dream big for yourself. The path of least resistance wasn’t intended to make you settle. Take those chances and translate them into captures! This thing called loving might not always turn out happy. But never, never, not take the chance to experience love. Whenever you find your heart’s been broken, no matter how many times … Ditch the bitterness. Love comes around many times…God is love! My friend, don’t you dare sell out—Always reconsider. And because Heaven is above and Jesus Christ resides there … Always keep your gaze up! That’s where help is.
My friend, I’ve been given the chance to sit it out or dance. You know what I’m choosing! I chose to dance. That’s how I began ushering in my 50th birthday today—dancing.
The Praise-a-Thon of my final Countdown to 50 climaxed with the song “I Get On My Knees” (Nicole Mullen). I prepared for prayer time by singing the hymn “My Jesus I Love Thee.” Hymns are my thing, you know. The hymns transport me into a place of deeper worship. Immediately, I fell, face down on my knees before the Creator of heaven and earth. In thanksgiving, I honored Jesus Christ for the gift of this milestone birthday. I worshipped God for who He is. I thanked the Lord for the gift of life—every aspect of my life. I am blessed that I could welcome my 50th birthday, alone, on my knees. When midnight rolled in I was laying prostrate before the King of Kings, welcoming 50 into my world!
I do not intend to sit it out, not once. Life is too precious. You should embrace your life, too. Join me friends, (and foes too if there be any out there) and make your life a celebration. Celebrate the beautiful you that Jesus Christ has made out of nothing. You are here; right here, right now. And you are a child of God! It does not get any better than that. Thank you to my wonderful circle of friends, you know yourselves. You make this journey fun. Thanks to family, loved ones, acquaintances, children of God, you make life a pleasure. Thanks to those who encourage and inspire me to continue the work I try to do, you make HortenseInspiration happen. Thanks to the strangers and the passerbys, you too have a place. We are all God’s children—we need one another more than we recognize.
In closing, let’s each be one another’s keeper. Live large, and it has nothing to do with means or much. It has to do with heart—live with a large heart! Love much. Forgive more. Laugh often. Pray always. Don’t you dare sit it out. Go Dance!
Blessings galore,

Ms. Hortense Duarma Grimes

Take My Word for It

COMPLETE SURRENDER…There is a right way to enjoy life. It took me a long time to understand how. The Lord was merciful; my God was very faithful, to me. Jesus Christ had to show me how life is supposed to be fully lived. Almighty God used circumstances and trials to teach me total reliance on God. My friend, when I tell you that the storms in your life will pass, take my word for it. Believe me. I would not mislead you. In your life you will face storms. You will see those storms pass.
There may be a fog above you today. Dark clouds could linger. Maybe there’s much rain on your parade. One thing is certain, that storm will pass. Focus on the rainbow forming in the distance. Almighty God, who is mighty to save, will clear your path.

I Fly Away Oh Glory...

Ash Wednesday is the herald of Lent. Lent Season herald Good Friday and the glorious Easter Sunday. Easter brought the RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ from the dead. The only God who died, was buried, arose from the dead, and living today. Jesus Christ got up from the grave. Christ arose from the dead. The Resurrection is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. Do you know Jesus? Have you accepted Salvation by the Blood of Jesus Christ shed on The Cross at Calvary? Have you traded your sin-sick soul for the Righteousness of God the Son—Jesus Christ? Are you living your life for the glory of Almighty God the Father? Is God the Holy Spirit active in your life? Have you denounced a lifestyle of sin? Do you say NO to sinful living and all things abominable in the eyes of the Lord? Are you building up treasures in Heaven, even as we scramble around looking for earthly treasures? Have you set your priority so that you are Heaven bound?

I HEAR THE TRUMPET…My friend, what if the Trumpet sounded today? What if Jesus Christ returned to earth today? Would you be caught up, riding the clouds, on your way to Heaven! Would you be singing, “I fly away oh glory…I fly away with Jesus.” Hallelujah. This is the most important direction in your life. Settle the matter first. You may then continue with your daily activities.

Blessings and peace,

Vital Necessity

PRAYER IS VITAL TO LIFE … Now is the time to honor Christ with your life. Now is when you reaffirm your walk with the Lord. Make a vow to follow Jesus, all the way. Ask the Lord for His divine help. Make prayer your "must do" activity. Prayer is you talking to God. Make prayer the job you were born to do. You could never get fired from duty as long as you are performing. There is no one way—right or wrong—way to do the job. Any method you take to perform this duty is correct. Just talk to the Lord. Stay in communication with Almighty God. Listen for the voice of God's Holy Spirit. In a loud and noisy world, the voice of Jesus is calm, pure, gentle, firm, and loving. It emanates grace. Whenever you have talked to God in prayer get in the habit of listening for His voice. Hear what the Lord says to you. Stay tuned in your spirit. He speaks loudest through His Word, the Bible. Pay attention to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. My friend, Prayer is the simplest job on earth. Anybody can do it. Apply today; immediately, you would be hired. Start working. Stay on the job. Pray. Right now is the right time to begin a new prayer life. Your ability to handle life comes by the amount of time you spend in prayer. Want to check your success rate? Measure your prayer life. If you want your life to matter, you must make prayer matter. Pray always. Prayer makes sense of life and life makes sense with prayer. Now is the time to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. All other things will be added. Live boldly for Jesus Christ. Champion the cause of Christ. The time to surrender your life to Jesus Christ is now. The right time, the right place, is right now. It’s about your life: Now and Eternity.

Blessings and peace,
Servant Hortense Grimes

Sunday Scripture

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
(Romans 12:1-2 NIV)
"You are the children of the LORD your God. Do not cut yourselves or shave the front of your heads for the dead, for you are a people holy to the LORD your God. Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the LORD has chosen you to be his treasured possession.”
(Deuteronomy 14:1-2 NIV)

Happy Valentine's Day

“LOVE is a universal language. Learn to speak it in your strongest voice. Speak love’s language with your softest tone. Express love at your highest pitch. Speak love well, it will answer you. True love responds to love.” --Hortense Duarma Grimes

Especially, if you are from Liberia, West Africa, you probably have heard the phrase: “Piken can Rap oh!” Well, there above goes my Rap for you this Valentine’s Day! Something to make you smile, laugh, and help keep your heart happy! It’s good to make others smile from cheek to cheek until everyone is laughing heartily. I like fun and laughter. But seriously, my friend, fill your heart with the love of Jesus Christ. All other loves fall in place after that. On that note, I pray you have yourself a lovely Love Day. May your loved ones make you feel like the special valentine you are.

Your Friend,

The package is wrapped with Salvation, Abundant life on earth, Life for eternity in heaven. It includes gifts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. My friend, You are free to enjoy your presents every single day of your life.

Another Look at Love

“He has brought me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love. Strengthen me with raisins; refresh me with apples, for I am faint with love. His left arm is under my head, and His right arm embraces me. Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.”
(Song of Solomon 2:5-7 NIV)

The Bible is an amazing read. Personally I am a lover. I just love love. I believe one should express heartfelt emotions and good vibes to loved ones, family, and friends. I enjoy reading the love stories of the Bible. The depth of love between the lovers portrayed by Scripture in Song of Solomon really blows me away. Regardless how many times one reads the Bible it always seem like you are just hearing the words for the first time. What an amazing God…truly The Lord deserves all my worship! The Song of Solomon is a divine love story, telling in a different way how much God loves his children. Love is a sacred emotion. Very precious. At least that's how God meant it to be. My friend, Love knows no boundary. It’s all encompassing. That’s the way love is portrayed by God taking on flesh, coming to earth and dying on the Cross to take the punishment for the sins we so freely commit. Past and present. Jesus Christ is the perfect lover of your soul. Over and over the Lord takes our place of pain, sorrow, confusion, despair, fatigue, and the whole nine yards. Over and over Jesus gives us peace, joy, clarity, strength, energy, marvelous wonder, and the whole nine yards. Christ our Redeemer is outstanding. There is no one like Almighty God. Do reach out today and receive the salvation offered by the Son of God. (God manifest in human flesh.) You see, my friend, the love of the LORD is expressed at its highest through Jesus death and resurrection. That is the Redemption plan. Embrace that perfect love of Jesus. You haven’t experienced love until you meet Jesus Christ and establish a relationship with God the Son. Jesus is love personified.  Breathe in God’s love. Refresh yourself in God’s love. Let it blow your mind all over again. Take a minute and read portions of Song of Solomon. Experience God’s love expressed in the Word of Almighty God. Do have yourself a love filled day!

All About You

Good morning, my dear friend. A new day has been gifted to you by our Heavenly Father. Almighty God who loves you so much has made today just for you. Jesus Christ, LORD and  Savior of the world, is walking each step of today with you. And you have the Holy Spirit to share your secrets with throughout each day.  My prayer for you is that you would recognize how valuable you are to the LORD. Here is a present I wanted to give you today. It's an excerpt from my formal greeting in the HortenseINSPIRATION CLASSICs Series.

"Have faith to know that you are more than any circumstance you could face. Find rest in the places you have been. Allow the LORD to lead you to the place you need to be. Believe me when I tell you there is no place life can take you that the grace of Almighty God cannot reach and rescue you. Turn over the circumstances of your life to Jesus Christ. The LORD can make sense of even the senseless things that have happened to you. You are all that you have, my friend; you cannot fail yourself. You owe yourself the right to correct your life as best as possible. You are your own prime time. Let Jesus help you fulfill your destiny. Do not allow others to determine what's left of you. The little bit that is left of you is enough for God to work with. There is so much Jesus Christ can do with you. Whatever the scars of your past, God can erase. Whatever your brokenness, God can fix you. And if you let him, the LORD will do a splendid job of it. You are alive! Bounce up. Dust it off. Get moving. Forward march. Your life is reality. This is not a dress rehearsal. You must not fail yourself. Have faith. Nurture hope. Build courage. You are special in the eyes of God. You need to know that."

Blessings and peace,
Servant Hortense Grimes
