A Bit of Evening Wisdom

There is enough negative energy everywhere. I chose to focus on positive messages that would reach the lost. A message that could turn a sinner's ears to the Savior's voice. Never mind the deafening noises around you.  This is God's earth. The LORD knows and sees everything. EVERYTHING. The Holy Spirit has the power to convict the heart of sin. Sin dominates this world. You and I have no control over the heart of man. God alone has that authority. Watch carefully which battles you choose. Pay attention to how your time is spent. The enemy, Satan, is an expert at confusion. Select your voice. Jesus Christ has ultimate power to change lives and minds. Laws and rules and norms imposed by man are constantly changing, oftentimes for the worse.
We live in a sinful world where mankind will continue to rebel against God until the day Jesus Christ returns. That is why God Almighty sent a Savior. Lucifer is thrilled to shift your focus away from godly teachings and godly living. We are told in the Scripture to be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove. Jesus Christ is quite capable of turning over the tables of the the merchants and restoring the house of God to what the LORD intends it to be. Know when to stop being consumed by rush of emotions. Know when to turn over to Jesus your anger and frustration about things you cannot change. You are the temple in which the Holy Spirit dwells. You must proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ. You must focus on winning souls to Christ. You must live as Christ lived. You must PRAY without ceasing.
What you are powerless to accomplish is easy business for God Almighty. The Most High God is never negligent. The LORD is doing his work. Stay the course of doing yours--Make disciples of all men.

Thus Saith The Lord

The Bible is a timeless source. The Word of God is on point every single time. God's Word is TRUTH.
Thus saith the LORD ... When it seems forces have lined up against you on every side.
"Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; purpose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us." (Isaiah 8:10 NIV).

Thus saith the LORD ... When the prevailing culture demands a reminder.
"When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn." (Isaiah 8:19-20 NIV).

Escorted Into Glory

In Loving Memory of The Charleston 9
I read with shock and horror the news of the Charleston massacre. My initial reaction was despair, disgust, anger, pointing finger blame, frustration, helplessness, deep sorrow for the families, questions, and a loss of words. Quickly, I remembered to say something to Jesus in prayer. I needed to switch emotions. I wanted to focus on this bigger picture: Someone walked into a consecrated space where believers in Christ had gathered to worship the Most High Almighty God. Followers of Christ had assembled to study the Word of God. A good Bible Study is dominated by the presence of the Holy Spirit. That someone stayed long enough to pray with those Christians. Christians pray in the name of Jesus Christ. That evil presence had invaded the place where the Savior of the world was being glorified and honored. In that confined space where evil invaded was the might and power and indwelling of God Almighty. Yet, evil prevailed in the physical. Only in the physical did such evil win. And God’s house was defiled in a split second. God’s children whose bodies are temples wherein the Lord dwells had their breaths squelched in a split second—silenced forever from this side of Heaven.
AS MUCH AS talking, discussions, and expressing various sentiments help at any time, most especially during periods of mourning and grief, the WORD OF GOD is enough comfort by itself. Read passages of Scripture to fill your hearts and minds with peace, and restore some semblance of normalcy to your thoughts. I pray you would feel less perplexed as you contemplate “Thus saith the Lord.”

“For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. …” (Job 19:25 ESV)

“Behold, I cry out, ‘Violence!’ but I am not answered; I call for help, but there is no justice.”
(Job 19:7 ESV)

“Why doesn’t the Almighty bring the wicked to judgment? Why must the godly wait for him in vain?” (Job 24:1 NLT)

“Wicked people rebel against the light. They refuse to acknowledge its ways or stay in its paths.” (Job 24:13 NLT)

“God is powerful and dreadful. He enforces peace in the heavens. Who is able to count his heavenly army? Doesn’t his light shine on all the earth? How can a mortal be innocent before God? Can anyone born of a woman be pure? God is more glorious than the moon; he shines brighter than the stars. In comparison, people are maggots; we mortals are mere worms.”
(Job 25 NLT)

“By his power the sea grew calm. By his skill he crushed the great sea monster. His Spirit made the heavens beautiful, and his power pierced the gliding serpent. These are just the beginning of all that he does, merely a whisper of his power. Who, then, can comprehend the thunder of his power?” (Job 26: 12-14 NLT)

“Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
(1st Peter 1:14-16 ESV)

“Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.” (1st John 3:2-3 ESV).

“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.” (1st Peter 3:8-9 ESV)

“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil. Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.” (1st Peter 3:12-17 NLT)

With a Glad Heart...

The Lord never ceases to amaze me. Truly, Scripture tells the entire story—the LOVE story of God Almighty with his children—the LOVE story of Jesus Christ and his saving grace. I am blessed. I am thankful. I am grateful. I am humbled. I stand amazed. As far as Jesus Christ is concerned I am perfectly whole, in his righteousness. With my whole heart I embrace God’s agenda. I pledge obedience to Jesus and I accept Christ leadership. I love my God Almighty. I look forward to the Holy Spirit guidance. Today is my birthday! I praise God for today. If you know me you would know I take birthday excitement to a whole different level. I behave like a child the entire day, squealing with glee, exclaiming love and joy, playing my music loud and dancing away, and overflowing with happiness. I get dressed in my designated birthday outfit for the day, and behave with childlike glee. I call this exuberance my birthday party for myself. June 15th is my personal holiday. June 15th is my gift from God Almighty; personalized and custom-tailored to suit me. June 15th reminds me that God Almighty decided the world needed me, so I was wonderfully and fearfully made in his image, and sent below to this gorgeous planet so that earth would be graced with my presence. That is my story and I am sticking to it. Excuse me…World! LOL.
And to top it all, Jesus always blows my mind. Today, as I awoke from sleep and my eyes opened to daylight, my 51st birthday was welcomed with the voice of the Lord. I heard the sweet soft voice of the Holy Spirit say to me, “Your birthday present is this song: Publish Glad Tidings.”

"O Zion, haste, thy mission high fulfilling, to tell to all the world that God is light, that he who made all nations is not willing one soul should perish, lost in shades of night.

CHORUS:
Publish glad tidings, tidings of peace; tidings of Jesus, redemption and release.

Behold how many thousands still are lying bound in the darksome prison house of sin, with none to tell them of the Savior’s dying, or the life he died for them to win.
Publish glad tidings, tidings of peace; tidings of Jesus, redemption and release.

Proclaim to every people, tongue, and nation that God, in whom they live and move, is love; tell how he stooped to save his lost creation, and died on earth that we might live above.
Publish glad tidings, tidings of peace; tidings of Jesus, redemption and release.

Give of thine own to bear the message glorious; give of thy wealth to speed them on their way; pour out thy soul for them in prayer victorious; O Zion, haste to bring the brighter day.
Publish glad tidings, tidings of peace; tidings of Jesus, redemption and release."
Hymn: O ZION HASTE. Text: Mary A. Thompson (1834-1923). Music: James Walch (1837-1901).

Long Story Short…“For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21)
In closing, allow me to leave with you the words of my personal motto. Because my greatest joy comes from giving and bringing joy to others, let it be my birthday present for you. Here's my motto:
“Let’s each be one another’s keeper. Live large, and it has nothing to do with means or much. It has to do with heart—Live with a large heart! Love much. Forgive more. Laugh often. Pray always. Don’t you dare sit life out. Go Dance.”  Hortense Duarma Grimes

Good Anger...

Good Morning My Friend. I am angry this morning…Yes, angry as in Jesus turning over tables in the temple! I usually take the calm approach when dealing with how disrespectful the world has become to the name of Jesus Christ, and Christian values and morals. Generally, everything is acceptable except public mention of Jesus. Offensive content/language(s) is now “good” table talk, but convictions about Jesus must be hush-hush. Anything that has to do with the message of Christ must be silenced. If one dares be vocal about Christ in their messages of spirituality such a one is often blacklisted. I will not hush up! I will not shut up. No wonder most Christian ministers with global platforms carefully delete the name Jesus Christ, and The Cross, out of their ministering. I do not care to fit in with the in groups. Recognition means nothing to me. I am not looking for riches or fame. As ministries go, we are a very small organization. But with a huge, loud, thundering voice, standing up for the name of Jesus Christ. The Lord called me to do it for Christ and preach a message of spiritual rehabilitation in Jesus Christ. I have been doing so for the past sixteen years. I WILL NEVER STOP BOLDLY SPEAKING ABOUT JESUS CHRIST, and PROCLAIMING The CROSS and SALVATION. I will not stop. No one can silence the messages.
I am angry that the subtle fierce persecution against the name Jesus is growing more flagrant every day. As for me, I WILL CONTINUE TO PROCLAIM THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD and JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD ALMIGHTY. Christians, let us continue in prayer for one another.

--Now that I have vented, I am no longer angry. World, look out for Do It For Christ Ministries. We STAND for the name JESUS CHRIST.
