Good "December" Morning to You"

LIVING FOR THE GLORY OF GOD. Life as a missionary. Life in missions. Living that says, "Not my will, but yours dear Lord." Follow Jesus all the way. Everyday.
A servant missionary. My life today. Utilizing different and creative formats of bringing the Jesus-Gospel message to the millions that still need to know, "Salvation is by no other name except Jesus Christ." You have no idea what your harvest will look like. Numbers don't count. People do. People matter. Persons are all around. See God's children. The multitude...people. See each one. See the eyes. See the smiles. See the hopes. See the weariness. See the potential. Tell a compliment. Watch faces light up. Share a laugh. Notice as the hopeless look fade. Give a little. Enjoy the response of pure joy. That little. Yes that little does much. It is moments like these that make every sacrifice worth it. By the way, didn't HE make the ultimate sacrifice for me. Yes, the Lord already paid it all. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. HE is worth it all. And then some.
As I often say, when you totally embrace Jesus the host of hell takes notice. Ahh(!), but it only serves to make the journey sweeter and the testimony longer. Gives me yet another manuscript to write. Much more encouragement to pass on to others. Yet more praise to report. Some more pep in my step. Many more smiles to paste across my trademark smiling face. More thrilling loud laughter to add to my always funny-crazyness-holler laughing, making people laugh personality.  Thank you Jesus for this gift of life totally surrendered to you.
This I proclaim...unknown, untold, different, terrific, strange, risky, enjoyable, fearless...I thank Almighty God for the blessing of being in Christian ministry. I praise the Lord for even the smallest blessings! I exalt the Lord for new beginnings! With my entire being I worship you Lord. I adore you Jesus. I honor the name of Christ. Again, I say THANK YOU Jesus for this gift of life totally surrendered to you.
My friend, a blessed good morning to you from where I am...an awesome-beautiful spot in West Africa.

Happy Thanksgiving (HortenseInspiration Classics)

Thanksgiving Message (HortenseInspiration Classic Messages)

Prayer and Thankful Praise to Almighty God
(from the child to Our Father)

I thank you, Father God, because I am alive. You have allowed me to behold another thanksgiving season. I have you walking beside me every step of the way. There are those times you have carried me in your arms. You cover me during the day by being a bright cloud to lead my way. You wrap my home in a blanket of fire that extinguished untimely death’s cold hands while dangers prowled at night.
I thank you Lord, because you wake me up every morning—able to see, hear, feel, taste, smell—all five senses correct. You wake me up and I can walk and talk. You keep my conscience alive to guard my decisions—I am able to think. You keep me free from guilt by the presence of your Holy Spirit.
I thank you Lord, because I made it through the year’s difficulties. I have walked around the obstacles—many times I walked right through them. Halleluiah! I faced the challenges.  I defeated the enemies. I trounced the disasters. You have favored me with opportunity to do more. You have privileged me with ability to do better.
I am going to thank you Lord because my children are healthy and safe. My family is intact—the tough times didn’t swallow us. My spouse and I are working at it day by day. We trust in you, and with your help and your strength we are winning at it.
I thank you for everything—yes Lord—Everything! I will bless Your Name. I will exalt Your Deity. I will proclaim Your Mightiness.  I declare You are the Almighty. You are all mighty.
I am going to Praise You with my life. I pledge to Worship You in the beauty of holiness, by living right in your sight. I will repent from a lifestyle of sin and walk a new life from this day onward. I want to bless you Lord because there is no one like you.
When I thought the problems would swallow me; I agreed with your Word and this is what happened to those giants of problems: “You blew with all your might and the sea covered them.  They sank like a lead weight in the majestic waters. (Exodus 15:10, Message Bible).
Indeed there is no one like you my God. Who compares with you among gods, O God?  Who compares with you in power, in holy majesty, in awesome praises, wonder-working God?” (Exodus 15:11, Message Bible).
Undeniably, you are Magnificent; the Only God for me! “Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee; glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” (Exodus 15:11, KJV).
I am going to thank you Lord because you drew me to you. I now have salvation.  I am guaranteed of eternal life.  While still on earth, I have the power to live abundantly and experience the joy of "Life in Christ"! I am going to thank you Lord simply because I am going to thank you. YOU alone are GOD. You alone deserve TOTAL PRAISE!
Receive your praise O Lord!  Be exalted among the Nations! Blessed be your name today and always throughout eternity. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I offer Thee thanks, O Lord God.

Blessings and Peace,

Happy Veterans Day, Officer

HICLASSICS (Hortense Inspiration Classics) Veterans Day Message

Congratulations, Soldier; Officer of the United States Military. Thank you for serving our America. Because you served well, I, an African immigrant, have a country that received me and offered a second home when I needed one. I am proud to be an American citizen. I do not take it lightly. I will never take it for granted. Veteran Soldier, thank you for your service. May Jehovah Almighty God keep the USA strong in military might and valor.

Veteran Officer, because you served the borders are kept safe. Because you served the air space is guarded. Because you served the seacoasts and waterways are clear and free. Because you served the environment is created and maintained for law and order to prevail. Your services do not go unnoticed. You matter as much today as you did when you were actively engaged, In Service. Officer, you might not have taken notice, but, because you choose to serve your country, America, you offered your service to my birth country, Liberia. You offered your service to Africa, and all countries and continents under the heavens. How? Here’s how so.

The United States military lives up to the honor of being the greatest in the world. Offering its shoulders all the time, that unknown people and unheard of places might lean on and benefit. Soldier, you often leave the comforts your country provides to live, quite uncomfortably, in the worst of situations in different countries and strange places. Hostility, heat and misery, resentment, darkness, dampness, evil, are just few of the realities you face in faraway lands. Lands you owe no allegiance to. When you took the oath to serve your country, the USA, you might not have fully realized that yours is the greatest military in the world—Super Power. That is huge news. To me, it means you fully, graciously accepted a silent oath to protect the weakest in the world. It is super powerful. Soldier. Bearing arms, you serve strangers with the same strength and bravery with which you serve your own. You bear arms which carry the weight of the innocent. Because you bear arms respect is shown even to the most-guilty. Justice is administered because your arms uphold the arms of civility. Because you carry arms your arms carry such restraint, many find hard to comprehend. Your arms uphold all our arms. We keep on riding in your arms. Therein is the greatness in you. Every day, the thought that you are there keeps hope alive in young hearts that world otherwise shrink. You are the carrier of super power. I believe superpower is as much power as God has invested to man’s discretion. Wow! Officer of the United States Military, you deserve every Salute!

Officer, each day we honor you who have served and who continue to serve in the greatest super powerful mechanism on planet earth. On another note, we respect those garbs. Keep wearing proudly your uniforms. You look so good in your regalia! The shirts, the jackets, the crisp pants and skirts. Oh, don’t get me talking about the berets and caps. The bright buttons and badges just complete your distinct aura! And those colors … khakis, white, black, blues, greens, browns, red accents …Oh! You sure know how to dress right. Soldier, you have got it going on as well in the apparel department. And you wear you so well, Officer. You look great. Thank you.

Soldier, hold on to your smile. Let the laughter in your soul suppress whatever forlorn looks may attempt to cover your face. You do great all the time. You are great. You do great. And karma rules … Great will be done back to you. You will never be forgotten. God will make sure all your needs are met. Jesus Christ is interceding for you all the time. Reach out for His hand. Officer, whatever your personal beliefs, please know this: You are fulfilling Almighty God’s greatest command: “… Love your neighbor as yourself.” When you signed up, Soldier, you did just that. God rewards those who keep His commands.

Thank you. We appreciate you. On this your special holiday, I bring my voice to say thanks. Thank you, Soldier. Officer of the United States Military. May The Lord bless you, and yours.

Blessings and peace,
Servant Hortense D. Grimes

Jesus Christ Speaks From The Cross

THE SEVEN WORDS OF THE CROSS
Spoken by Jesus Christ, Crucified, Risen Savior of the World

1st WORD - Luke 23:34
And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide His garments.

2nd WORD - Luke 23:43
And He said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.

3rd WORD - John 19:26-27
When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.

4th WORD - Mark 15:34
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

5th WORD - John 19:28
After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill the Scripture), “I thirst.

6th WORD - Luke 23:46
Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this He breathed His last.

7th Word Seventh WORD - John 19:29-30
A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to His mouth. When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished.” And he bowed His head and gave up His spirit.

Scripture is a Guiding Light

THE WORD OF GOD IS TERSE
“Woe! Woe to you, declares the Sovereign Lord. In addition to all your other wickedness, you built a mound for yourself and made a lofty shrine in every public square. At the head of every street you built your lofty shrines and degraded your beauty, offering your body with increasing promiscuity to anyone who passed by. You engaged in prostitution with the Egyptians, your lustful neighbors, and provoked me to anger with your increasing promiscuity. So I stretched out my hands against you and reduced your territory; I gave you over to the greed of your enemies, the daughters of the Philistines, who were shocked by your lewd conduct. You engaged in prostitution with the Assyrians too, because you were insatiable; and even after that, you still were not satisfied. Then you increased your promiscuity to include Babylonia, a land of merchants, but even with this you were not satisfied.” (Ezekiel 16:23-29 Holy Bible NIV)

THE WORD OF GOD IS PROMISE
“The Angel of the Lord gave this charge to Joshua. This is what the Lord Almighty says: If you will walk in my ways and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here. Listen, O high priest Joshua and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic of things to come: I am going to bring my servant, the Branch. See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it, says the Lord Almighty, and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day. In that day each of you will invite his neighbor to sit under his vine and fig tree, declares the Lord Almighty.”  (Zechariah 3:6-10 Holy Bible NIV)

THE WORD OF GOD IS FULFILLING …Read the Bible

“Not until halfway through the Feast did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach. The Jews were amazed and asked, ‘How did this man get such learning without having studied?’ Jesus answered, my teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him. Has not Moses given you the law? Yet, not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?” (John 7:14-19 Holy Bible NIV)

Give It Up for Jesus to Take to The Cross

GIVE IT UP FOR JESUS CRUSADE
Friday, March 4, 2016 – Good Friday March 25, 2016

Three Weeks to Transformation Thought Provoking and Challenging Monologue
(Writing includes Liberian and West African vernacular)

This is the season of Lent. Most Christian habitually will give up something to commemorate this period. That “giving up something” is an act of repentance. By so doing we give a testament of our love and respect, and gratitude, and worship, and exaltation for Jesus.
Psychology teaches it takes three weeks to form a new habit. Likewise, I want to challenge you to spend three weeks bringing to an end a negative habit. Break a bad habit that has become your character trait.
Begin the three-week quest to erase a bad habit that is holding you hostage. Give up that character flaw. Let Jesus take it to the cross. Give up that flawed trait for Jesus Christ to be able to take it away from you. Surrender the thing that makes you uncontrollably fester in sin.
Figuratively Journey to Good Friday
The Count Down begins Friday March 4, 2016
As long as you hold on tightly to it Jesus cannot remove sin from you. Jesus is peaceful. The Lord does not force one to do anything. Pray that God would make you willing. Willingly give up that moral filth or creeping vice or sinful nuisance. Willingly put up for sale that unwanted sinful asset you have. Jesus will take it from you. Jesus will take it with him to The Cross.
Jesus is on his way to The Cross where he will bury our sins. No more would sin hold you captive. Pack all that stuff up and hand over the luggage. Dispose of the clutter that is squeezing your soul to death. Let it go. It is not worth your eternal life. There is value to your soul. Hell was not made for you. Sin is not sweet. Sinful living should never be a way of life. There is more to you than being a vessel for evil. You are a child of God. You are light. You are the salt of the earth. You have a constant flicker of the light of Christ in you waiting to be turned on, forever.
Surrender that choking sin. Surrender it! Give up anything that stands in the way of you and a relationship with Jesus. Give up everything that stands against your obedience to the Word of God. Confess those uncontrollable vices to Jesus. Add that blemish to the list of things Jesus is taking to The Cross for you. Add your secret sin. Secret sins bring on more despicable behavior. Is secret sin robbing you blind? Do you want to stop but cannot help yourself? You have held the secret for so long you don’t see it as evil anymore. You find that you would need to commit more ugliness just to feel better. And still you would never feel better. It is something you wouldn’t want anyone to know that you do. But that is what you do. That is your “nice little” secret. It has become a habit squeezing you. You end up committing more sin just by trying to fill the void it leaves when you try to stop. Surrender it! Jesus can strip it away from you.
Ask the Lord to help you. Let Jesus break that habit. Let Jesus free you. Jesus will add it to the list of the many stains he is taking to The Cross. Give that up for three weeks. Jesus can pardon, cleanse and forgive you. You will be able, once more, to feel at peace with yourself. Try Jesus. Give up that character trait. Give it up for three weeks. Jesus will break that habit! The Lord will restore you to be clean and fresh.
People, give it up for Jesus. Watch as the Lord turns situations around. Christians give up your secret sins. Allow the Lord to take those to The Cross on Good Friday. Jesus can silence those traits forever. Jesus Christ can remove those sins forever. Christ can wipe the slate clean, forever. Jesus can make certain that those vices never resurface in your life. Give it up for Jesus. In three short weeks you could experience transformation. Begin the journey to transformation, today. Only Christ can help you. If not for Jesus Christ! Good Friday begins the redemption plan of God. On The Cross Christ died to purchase freedom for you. Freedom from sin’s stain and death.
Begin the Journey to Transformation
GIVE IT UP FOR JESUS CRUSADE
Friday, March 4, 2016 – Friday March 25, 2016

Pat yourself on the back, oh “pious” sinful you. To the rest of you that are not are not like these sinners! What about those people? Never mind we are all sinfully pious people. Pretenders us!
The habitual liar, gossipmonger, slanderer. Every time you feel like spreading untruths, rumors and discord, repeat a Bible verse. “He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity” (Probers 21:23). Give that trait up for three weeks. Watch God break that habit.
The woman with multiple lovers. To the women of the night. To the daytime-night-trick providers: Stop the supply. See how quickly the demand dwindles. Regard your body as the Temple of God. The Lord knows your every pressing need. Seek Him. He will provide and take care of you. God can strip you of evil fixations. God can turn you around. The Lord can clean you up. God’s love can make a decent woman out of you. Give up a life of prostitution and street walking. Give up a life of following big men around for small money. If you could see yourself ten years from now! That money is not worth your virtue. Give those ways up for three week. Watch God break that habit.
To those persons who brilliantly purloin; pocketing what is not yours or what you did not work for, is called stealing. The Bible says “thou shall not.” You were not created to be a thief. Cast away greed. Shed selfishness. Give it up for three week. Watch Jesus break that habit.
To the full grown man who likes to follow little girls, and teenagers. And then you boast about it. Shame on you! In the western world, you would be arrested, tried, and convicted for those offenses. You would not dare to commit them when you go to visit abroad. You would be jailed and branded a felon. You would be called a pedophile for life. Your name would be placed on every media alert. Parents would be made aware of you. Children would be warned and they would run away when they spotted you. In the third world you get no reprimand. Not even a slap on your wrist. But I’ve got news for you: The person who oversees the “West” civilized world and the third world, sees you. The Lord sees you! Jesus convicts you. God’s wrath is worse than anything humans could envision. Do not tell me the girls wanted money. God will make sure you pay for that abomination. Stop the demand for their young bodies. The supply will dwindle. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. You know better than that. Leave the little children alone. You are sick. Get help. Ask Jesus. Give up that trait for three weeks. Watch God break that habit.
People, give it up for Jesus. Watch as the Lord turns situations around. Christians give up your secret sins. Allow the Lord to take those to The Cross on Good Friday. Jesus can silence those desires forever. Jesus Christ can remove those sins forever. Christ can wipe the slate clean, forever. Jesus can make certain that those vices never resurface in your life. No stain is too tough for the Lord to erase. Give it up for Jesus. In three short weeks you could experience transformation! Begin the journey to transformation, today.

The Count Down begins Friday March 4, 2016
And You: So you did not see yourself in the group above. Wipe that smirk off your face. You are no better. Let’s face it, my friend. We all are in the same sorry boat! All sin is sin. Here’s how.
One person tells lies. One goes to medicine man for witchcraft. Another steals. One gossips. Another has child out of wedlock. One cheats on exams. One takes somebody’s husband. One person is stingy. One is a hypocrite. One person commits murder. One borrows money and doesn’t pay it back. Another looks down on people. Another is mean to people who need help. One married woman has small-boy boyfriend. Another person slanders others. Child disrespects parent. One person has jealousy buried in their heart. One engages in premarital sex. One kills somebody because you want their job. Another cut your eye at someone. Another gets involved in homosexuality. One misleads others to harm.
One man leaves his wife. Another plans the downfall of somebody. One puts witch in food and invites friend over to eat. One commits adultery. One gives wrong advice to somebody who trusted you. Another is a glutton. One uses curse word in every sentence. One has an abortion. One keeps their speech refusing to say hello to another. One crash someone’s wedding and then condemns the food. Another has multiple lovers. One offer sympathy only to call others and joyfully explain a friend’s problem. Another rubs juju on her skin to attract men.
One spread rumors. One “shagging” (lives) with somebody not married to you. Another has hateful manners. One use office computer to do personal work during office hours. Another is living in fornication. Another beats up his wife. One hit someone’s parked car and drives away quickly. Another sleeps with best friend’s husband or wife. Parent molest child. One uses voodoo to break up someone else’s relationship. Another prepares false income tax returns. One is an alcoholic. Another babbled people’s private business. One resigned his job to keep from paying child support. …
My friend, keep adding to the list. Now do you see why we are all doomed? Only Christ can help us. If not for Jesus Christ! Give up that flawed character trait let Jesus take it to The Cross. Give up that secret sin let Jesus take it to The Cross.

Give It Up for Jesus Crusade is a campaign of Do It For Christ Intl. MOBs (ministry outreach branches), tailored to personal spiritual development. Need a Blanket

As I feel the cold breeze in spite of the warm sunshine, I cannot help but exclaim, “How majestic are you, O Lord; thank you for today!” My friend, God’s love can penetrate every layer that one has. Allow the love of Jesus Christ to overflow in you today. The Lord loves you with an everlasting love. Let the love of Christ wrap you in a blanket of warmth. Almighty God desires that you would give him a chance to love you beyond your understanding. Receive God’s unconditional love God’s way. Life is love and love is life. Jesus Christ gave up his life to die for you out of his love for you. That is deep love, embrace it. Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. Make Jesus Christ your Lord.

THE WORD OF GOD
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and you’re your joy may be full. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friend. You are my friends if you do what I command you."

It Is Personally Yours...

The ever present Jesus Christ has called you by name today. Answer that call and make the Lord God present forever in your life. Religious beliefs outside of Christ might benefit you, albeit superficially, on this side of heaven called earth. Religious beliefs in a relationship with Jesus Christ will benefit you totally, here on this earth and for eternity in heaven, with Almighty God the Father. This relationship is available when you accept that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died on the Cross for your sins; believe that Christ arose from the dead and ascended back to heaven; confess your sins to the Lord and ask God's forgiveness; invite Jesus Christ into your life as your Savior and Lord.
Like all relationships do, your relationship with Christ involves commitment. Almighty God has designated special assistance for all who come to him through Jesus Christ. This special helper is God the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit opens our eyes and reveals the truth of who God is. The Holy Spirit helps each of us to understand the magnitude of our relationship with God. You must become involved with Jesus to the point that you surrender everything about you to the Lord.
Communicate with the Lord, daily, in prayer. Submit your will to the will of Almighty God. Embrace the righteousness of Jesus. Receive the grace of God Almighty. Utilize the mercies of Almighty God, because, yes, you will fail many times. But you are never left alone or abandoned. Nothing can separate you from God's love. So, when you fall short do not despair. The Holy Spirit continually waits to be your guide. Reach out to Jesus and ask the Lord to help you pick yourself up. Jesus will lift you up and place you back on your feet.  Rely on Christ strength. And continue in your journey, joyfully and joyously, as you do the work of living for Jesus to the glory of Almighty God.
Enjoy each and every minute with the awesome friend that Jesus is. Almighty God envelops all of us living beings in his arms. Even those who reject The Lord he holds close in his arms; nearest to his heart. Christ loves you with an everlasting love. The Lord will continue loving you until the day you take your last breath, and return to be with him in eternity forever. Eternity shines with the love of Almighty God and the light of Jesus Christ. Eternity in heaven is bright with God's light and Christ's love. Eternity radiates with God the Son seated at the right hand of God the Father. That's what a relationship with Jesus Christ has in store for you for eternity. You in the presence of the glory of Almighty God. You forever in the radiance of Jesus Christ.
Should you take your last breath without accepting Jesus, eternity for you is separation forever from the Lord who loves you so. Only then does Jesus Christ leave you alone. And you are left forever with the decision you made to keep Christ away from you and out of your life. Outside a relationship with Jesus Christ eternity is hopeless. Religious beliefs outside of Christ means an eternity void of light and love; void of Christ and radiance; void of peace and peaceful final rest. Almighty God with all his unlimited scope of love for you cannot help you at that time.
When your last breath is taken and you close your eyes in disbelief of Jesus Christ, God gives up on you. The Lord leaves you all alone with your choice. The Holy Spirit keeps an unbridgeable distance. Yes, God Almighty stops his grace.
Reconsider your religious beliefs and your concept of spirituality. Double think where your final resting place in eternity will be.  May I offer the name Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the best confidante that this world has ever been blessed to know. Your deepest thoughts, desires, expressions, and all your secrets are safe with Him. Before you call on someone to talk with today call Jesus. The Lord is the closest ally humanity will ever have. Again, joyfully, may I offer you the name Jesus Christ!

Blessings and peace,
Servant Hortense Grimes

Work The Love...

BECAUSE I like to keep relevant conversations ongoing... I'm just saying it does not end because the red roses were delivered yesterday with fanfare; the sweetly worded greeting cards were read; best behavior was on display for one day... Oh No, you've got to work this thing called love. You have got to nurture it and nurse it. Love is like life, you've got to master it. Daily!!! Love is work, you have got to do your job. Prolong Valentine's Day by being the committed, trustworthy, respectful, passionate, responsible lover that you are. Keep the love thing happening fifty-two weeks in a row year after year!

"Set love free and it will return to you. If you keep being a loving person and hold love in your heart for others, someday someone special will return love to you."

Another Non Negro Story...

During my daily Africa briefings, today’s Liberian Observer Newspaper Editorial entitled, "Liberians Need a Chemical and Spiritual Change in Their Mentality, Spirit and Attitude-Who Can Make it Happen" has challenged my attention. The article starts off interestingly. The article veers off to statements about matters for which I have long faulted my birth country and still carry pent-up frustrations about. Here I share some of my thoughts.
The Liberia Observer is without doubt one of the nation’s exemplary conducts of print journalism. In my opinion, today’s February 1, 2016 editorial in the Liberian Observer reflects some of what is wrong in our Liberia today. Liberia has an abundance of brilliant academic minds. Liberia has a wealth of common sense and wisdom in its elders and tribal leaders. Liberia has highly educated, talented, experienced, exposed world-class legal experts. I am confident that laws can be drafted, constructed and executed for a constitutional amendment that would allow “Others of Non-Negro Descent” to become permanent residents and citizens of Liberia. Regulations can be implemented to effect the change that would include those “others of non-negro descent”.  Particularly, the many “Others of Non-Negro Descent” whose place of birth is the Republic of Liberia. Such a constitutional change would propel gains and increase their contributions to national development and affect national stability.
It is not a matter of fact to state that such a necessary and fundamental change, when properly enacted, would leave Liberians poorer and landless. The assertion is not only misleading, but incites shivers of violent fears into the mindset of a populace consisting of an already too large illiterate majority. It keeps the poor ever poorer. It limits life changing resources to a small minority. Lebanese and foreign nationals are not without faults and flaws; neither are natural born Liberians. No union is perfect; together we strive for perfection. Together, we work towards excellence. Liberia needs the people who have helped build the country, opened stores and made small and larger developments into the hinterlands, gave out LPAs that have educated thousands, provided loans to average people to help parents build homes and families survive and upgrade, bankrolled the lifestyles of many so-called wealthy and Liberian elites, and much more. Yes, these are some of what the Lebanese and Non-Black Foreign nationals have done.
To say the least, the article making a reference to Presidents King, Tubman, Tolbert, Doe, Taylor, Sirleaf, and somehow concluding that the Lebanese and foreign nationals are responsible for Liberians being at the lower economic and social ladder in their own country is contradictory, for starters. Dare I say it is a faulty conclusion. Such representations that could incite apprehensive behavior and stir up revolutionary urgings do not benefit Liberians. There are pros and cons to every situation, including changing of status quo. The influx of “negro-descent” foreigners now overrunning Liberia is having no substantial benefit to the country. Instead, many of these businesses are mismanaged, non-lucrative and non-business entities. I dare to say, just as corrupt as any other corrupt enterprise, including Liberian owned. Further, many of these “only negro-descent” business owners often are hoarding their profits and funneling it back into their respective countries, which countries are usually much poorer than Liberia.
The matter of granting residency and citizenship to persons born in Liberia who are not of the Black race is timely, and will not disappear because of one-sentence fear invoking statements. The matter of Lebanese, Indians and other non-Black foreign nationals who have lived their entire lives in Liberia, others having lived, died and are buried in Liberia, yet still considered as misplaced homeless foreigners with no legal status or protection is wrong. These matters will persist until what is morally wrong is corrected. Not to mention Liberia is a country which depends on foreign aid for almost everything. Dare we forget the tremendous support the international community of “non-negro-descent worldwide citizens” give this country during our always desperate long running destitute years. There is nothing like an idea whose time has come to be implemented. There is nothing more intense than a change that needs to happen. Maligning the constructive partnering efforts of Lebanese, Indians, and other Non-Black foreign nationals is wrong. Rejecting Lebanese and other foreign nationals who have lived, worked, and supported the Liberian economy for decades is not right. The premise that inhibits this is fundamentally and morally flawed. Plain and simply wrong. Non-black foreign nationals, including Lebanese, Indians, Europeans, who were born in Liberia, and have lived solely in the country for 50, 70, 90 plus years, should have the opportunity to call Liberia their home and live here with dignity and decency. Many of these nationals, especially the Tubman era generation and younger, know no other country but Liberia. It is where they want as beneficiaries of their lives and opportunities.
Most interesting to note, it is an established fact that many of said Liberians who vehemently are against consideration to amend the constitution and allow Lebanese and foreigners legal status in Liberia are the same exclusive group who consistently lease out their lands, properties and buildings to the very Lebanese and non-Black nationals, for extensive periods of 30-75 years per agreement. Remittances, often paid to them in advance huge annual sums at a time, are enjoyed exclusively by they and their families. While these pocket full of money Lessors-Landlords yell out to their fellow poor, non-sophisticated, illiterate, non-lettered property owners, “…The Lebanese people will take away all your land from your…!” Dare I ask these lessor-landlords, “Well then, when you lease out your properties, how much of the proceeds do you spend on developments that would benefit the poor masses? How much investment do you make in the hinterland? What does your huge amounts of money and profits received from the foreign nationals do to alleviate sufferings of the poor masses so that they would enjoy a somewhat better life? How many businesses do you start to afford poor people children an opportunity to have a somewhat better lease on life?” What is prompting this outcry of fear tactics? No nation thrives when fears and trepidation abound aimlessly. May I repeat my resounding phrase to this debate:
Liberia has an abundance of brilliant academic minds. Liberia has a wealth of common sense and wisdom in its elders and tribal leaders. Liberia has highly educated, talented, experienced, exposed world-class legal experts. I am confident that laws can be drafted, constructed and executed for a constitutional amendment that would allow “Others of Non-Negro Descent” to become permanent residents and citizens of Liberia. Regulations can be implemented to effect the change that would include those “others of non-negro descent”. I dare to say true nation building will commence.
My purpose here is to open this dialogue. I intend to start the conversation. I plan to and will stay with this discussion. We, Liberians, are a well learned, well exposed, well connected, intelligent, educated and sophisticated bunch. There is an ongoing brain drain in Africa. Like most African countries, many Liberians have spent majority of our productive years in exile from our homeland. Need I say we have learned and experienced what it means to come as a struggling stranger and be welcomed to assimilate in someone else's country. We have enjoyed and be rewarded for being a a law-abiding citizen, with every right and privilege accorded to make the new country your new home.
Liberians can handle this debate better than shutting off the valve out of fear and misinformation. Let us invite differing viewpoints, rational ideas, arguments, but frank and honest conclusions. Talk about the details. Responsibly. With truth and honesty. No longer should any action or decision that affects members of humankind be based strictly and solely on the color of a person's skin.   TO BE CONTINUED

Up There Yonder ...

Is it You that heaven is clapping and dancing for today? If so, great! If not, why not?
“In the same way, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent” (Luke 15:7 NIV).
Why not cause more joy jumps up there yonder in Gloryland. Today. Take the step of Salvation. Today. Make the decision to have your name written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world—Jesus Christ Book of Life. Today. Go ahead and cause all of heaven to shout your name with joy. Cause more rejoicing up yonder.

“Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” (Luke 15:3-7 NIV).

Each of Us is All of Africa... #RaisetheBar

My dear fellow African,
I've come to tell you this: Exciting events are happening in Africa. The promise of an awesome time for Africa is now. 2016 is a promising year for all African countries. Two Thousand Sixteen is an auspicious year for all Africans who desire to see the African Continent thrive. Each of you must play a part. Each person has an important role in the building up of your individual country. Each of you must contribute to Africa.
Each of us is all of Africa. Let us all be leaders. Let us all be followers. Patriotism involves being in the lead, where appropriate. Patriotism involves following after another, where appropriate. Be a law-abiding citizen. Support your President and heads of government. Support public officials.
When there are disagreements about leadership and governance citizens must refrain from violent clashes and unnecessary protests. The military in respective countries must abandon Coup d’état mentality and instigating overthrow of established regimes. Political opponents must refrain from inciting unrests that lead to internal conflicts and civil wars. African countries are still yet in developmental stages and cannot handle nor afford the aftermath of these actions. I have found that many times it was not a revolution that was needed. Rather, it is timely evolution that was missing.
Africans must practice the art of expressing frustrations without destroying accomplishments. Africans must learn the discipline of respect. Africans must exercise the discipline of self-control. Go along with good policies and sound judgements. Applaud honesty and decency in public service. Express your disagreements responsibly and through proper channels. Africans must institute systems and allow such systems to work. Remove selfishness and personal greed from your character.
Let us all be servants of our land. Let us all be takers of the potential Africa offers. Let us all be givers toward our national upkeep. Exciting events are happening in Africa. It starts with you. The promise is with you. Stay involved. The promise of a greate Africa lies in you. Become part of the excitement in Africa 2016. By the grace of Almighty God Africa’s glory days are here to stay.  #RaisetheBar

Back to Basics ...

Take Seriously the Word of Almighty God. There is Tremendous Power in Scripture.

“Then the word of the LORD came to Jonah the second time, saying, ‘Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and call out against it the message that I tell you.’ So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, three days journey in breadth. Jonah began to go into the city, going a day’s journey. And he called out, ‘Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!’

And the people of Nineveh believed God. They called for a fast and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them to the least of them.

The word reached the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, removed his robe, covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. And he issued a proclamation and published through Nineveh, ‘By the decree of the king and his nobles: Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything. Let them not feed or drink water, but let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and let them call out mightily to God. Let everyone turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands. Who knows? God may turn and relent and turn from his fierce anger, so that we many not perish.’

When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil way, God relented of the disaster that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it.”
