Since a miraculous Divine-encounter with Jesus, an anointing and call
to ministry in 1999, Hortense Duarma Grimes has dedicated her life to bringing
the Jesus gospel beyond the edifice and to the larger community. Servant
Hortense is the founder of DO IT FOR CHRIST Ministry Organization. Hortense is
involved in grassroots evangelism in West Africa, and the United States, and
heralds a global call to prayer worldwide. She daily engages God’s people by
faith-based inspiration, prayer movements, Christian media, Internet evangelism
worldwide, and encouraging spiritual rehabilitation through personal renewal of
mindset. Taking back territory for the Master, “Thee servant” proclaims Jesus
Christ is Lord to the glory of Almighty God.
Hortense is the creator and talent of HortenseInspiration Media, a
branded media entity and extension of her ministry, serving motivation with an
African tinge.
Born and raised in Liberia, West Africa, Servant Hortense is a
visionary for Africa. She is the force behind Solace Africa, a project mission
borne of her ministry, with a determination to address plights of sufferings
and hunger, and alleviate abject poverty; lifting up poor people by meeting the
physical needs of the “least of these” in God’s kingdom.
Ms. Hortense Duarma Grimes has two life passions: Prayer and Helping
hurting people. Hortense loves people. A compassionate person by nature, she gets
her greatest joy from serving others, and working alongside good people to make
a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. Hortense abhors poverty in any
form. Servant Hortense believes abject poverty is a deterrent to the Gospel
message. In her words:
“Abject poverty is a hideous
stain on the world. We, Christians, must work to alleviate poverty all over the
world, even here in America. There are too many poverty-stricken good people
everywhere. In a world loaded with stupendous wealth, abject poverty and
neglect of the “least of these” is mind-boggling. The world is dying from lack
of basic human needs, food, clothing and shelter. We as God’s people must find
ways to do more. We must equip the poor as much as we share the Word of God and
promote the Gospel of Christ. At least, we must give a little and encourage
them how God will provide the rest. Preaching to people about Jesus and
Salvation and not meeting, in the least, their most pressing needs, is
ineffective and counterproductive. They do not see a reason to be faithful so
many people choose instant gratification from Satanic sources and temporary
solutions. We, the body of believers, must be about winning souls. We must feed
the flesh of the multitude as well. We must attend equally to soul, mind, and
body. In so doing, we do it for Christ. We live our lives for the glory of God
Almighty.”
Servant Hortense further devotes her energies to fulfilling God’s Vision for DO IT FOR CHRIST: Construction of a spiritual rehabilitation campus in each of the four corners of Africa, and a Christian media network to saturate the African continent with information about Jesus Christ.
