The Love Month is Here

Welcome to the month set aside for loveliness. I like to call February the Love Month. Lovers will make deliveries of chocolate, red roses, inscribed balloons, stunning gift items, drop-dead gorgeous pieces of jewelry, exotic travels, candlelit dinners, smoochie-moochie dates, and so much more. Many will celebrate the romantic Valentine’s Day on the 14^th of this month. What can I say. Love is on display this time of year. If I had my way every day would be love day. That's just my style. 

This is a perfect time to rekindle your love for loved ones, be it a spouse, that special person in your life or your one and only someone. My friend, there is nothing like genuine love. True love. The love that keeps on loving, good or bad times, night or day, rain, snow, sleet or sunshine. I'm talking about LOVE for the sake of love. Love is a feeling that elevates you. Love can lift you any day.  Love is an awesome, exhilarating emotion. Take this entire month to go above and beyond in showing love and loveliness to those that mean the world to you.

Love is active. I believe love, real love, is in a class all by itself. Love is a deep emotion buried in the innermost parts of your being that must be uncovered from the heart and soul and shared with another. Love does not have to be expressed in monetary gifts. (Although that’s always nice!) Love does not have to break the bank. One of the deepest ways of showing love is in gestures. Love is action. “Show me the love,” I’d say. Love is sometimes just being there for the flashing moments.

Love is being able to share those “awe” moments that take your breath away. Love is having someone say to you, “It’s enough that we have each other.” And so, my friend, make a point to speak love’s language loud and clear to that special person in your life. Think of unique ways to express your love. Give the gift of yourself to your loved ones. We are products of love. There’s nothing greater than love. Turn around once more to look at that person you love and tell them how much you love them.
