Church Take Heed

Initially Published March 2015 (BROKEN FAITH BROKEN PEOPLE)

PROPHETIC WORD Thursday, February 26, 2015.  The Lord awakened me hours before dawn, with instructions to “take note, write and tell.” The Holy Spirit began ministering about matters within the body of Christ, the Christian Church. It was intense, emotional and solemn; my spirit wept. I was saddened at just how much we are bruising our Lord’s heart. Jesus told me to speak up about such things and not be afraid of anything. The Lord warned me against fear; that I should fear nothing. At the end of almost three hours of teaching, training, and being comforted this humbling experience ended. I could not speak about it for several days. Utilizing a style of writing which I've deemed appropriate for conveying such troubling reality, I am speaking up. In my capacity as servant of the Living God, anointed by Jesus Christ: Please heed the warning. --Servant Hortense

BROKEN FAITH BROKEN PEOPLE
One of the biggest problems Christians face is laziness. Disobedient People. We are too lazy to be vigilant. Too lazy to walk with Jesus Christ all the way. Great Sunday morning church worshipers. Always ready to shout, loudly, “God is good … all the time … all the time … God’s been so good to me!” Many have become “just to be counted in the pews” Christians. Disrespectful People. Lazy to pray. Lazy to read the Bible. Lazy to fast. Lazy to stand for Christ. You take your cue from the world while at the same time pretending to criticize the world. Cannot stop worshiping those dollar signs! Take your eyes off materialism. Repent. God’s wealth is primarily for The Lord’s work! Hello. Churches so desperate to become mega, by making Jesus Christ minor. No Prayer fest. No Altar-no altar call. No Revival. Much drama. No Sunday school. No hymn singing. No Scripture readings. Empty theatrics. Constantly bring in new types of “worship” music only to quickly tweak it and make the music sensual. What? No sound biblical teachings. No Lord’s Prayer. No studying the beatitudes. Any wonder why such bad attitudes within the congregation. Ten Commandments? Not a mention. No Doxology. No teachings in chastity, purity, long-suffering. How would we know patience is a virtue. Hello?

Year after year, not one visible Cross to gaze at during worship. What. Church plus no cross in sight is a church? What! Crusaders for your own causes. Weak preaching. No Hebrews, no Psalm, no Genesis, no Zephaniah, no Job. Not 1st and 2nd Peter. Not even  the Acts. No teaching from John's gospel. No Thessalonians. Well, I guess no Revelations. Lord, I declare! In the beginning was, “The Word … with God … The Word was God!” Imagine Church where there is never mention of sin and repentance. Not a single mention of the Cross, the Crucifixion, or the Resurrection. No reference to resurrection! No talk of Deity. The Trinity. Christian churches with no teachings on cross, crucifixion and resurrection? No talk about The Blood? Some dare say, mention of the Blood is gross. Really? You dare make the Bible irrelevant. Yet, quickly hoard up books written, and promote works, based upon scriptural teachings and biblical principles. Seriously! Talk about contradictions.

Christians fuss about prayer being taken out of schools and public places, but you never pray with your family on your territory; inside your home. Are you not the decision maker at your house? No prayers said in your homes. Who is stopping you? Besides, is that not the place where your precious children live? Are you serious! Jumping in and out of vehicles all day, without a word of prayer. You claim to be protective of your little ones. Hum. If I may ask, who is the public? Who goes to public places? Is is not you? Are you not part of the public—Let the numbers do the talking. We tolerate every type of ungodliness, and you wonder why the world is plunging into decline. Societies are degenerating, daily, into pits of moral decay, foolish heathen values and social filth. Chaos and calamity stockpile. Everyone is an expert on everything! Few seek godly wisdom from the Lord. Talk about the blind leading the blind. And we wonder why things are as they are. Excuse me.

Many profess Christianity as your faith, but claim there are many ways to Almighty God. Seriously!? Just where, exactly, do we fit with Jesus Christ? Really. Many are filled with so much hate you cannot see straight. Jesus is all about love. Hello? Is not love the whole point of Jesus death and resurrection—the Cornerstone of the Christian faith! We claim to be Christians, but you live the most secular, careless and reckless lifestyles, void of any examples of Christ. What! Hum. I guess I’d better hush my mouth this morning. Sometimes, it is just impossible to not go there …the foolishness is so plentiful! We’re just recycling and recycling more. Daily. Nonstop nonsense going up all day, in God’s face! And we are followers of Jesus Christ. Really? Repent. What do you take Almighty God for! You forget whose breath you breathe. Hum.

Christians, get your acts together. There is work to be done while Jesus tarry. Get up from your long slumber. Repent. Pray without ceasing. Do the work the Lord assigned for you. Pray nonstop. Evangelize the world about Jesus Christ. Don’t you hear the other faiths! Why are you disobedient to your God Almighty? Do you see any other beliefs sleeping on their job? Wake up Christian church. The Bible says to watch, fight, and pray. Pray like the warrior you are called to be—Soldiers in the army of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Watch the LORD win the fight. Hallelujah!!! Turn away from ego and self. Naked yourself off vanity and foolish pride. Face Jesus. Tell the world about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Flex some faith muscles. The most powerful statement on earth is, the words: “In the name of Jesus Christ I command …”

Christian you, I tell you this: One day everybody, those we see and know, ones we don’t see and do not know, will bow to the name of Jesus. Lift up your head. Redemption draws nigh. The time is close. It is almost time for the explosive dramatic drama in the sky. Christ Return. Take a stand now. Time to start wrapping things up. Need help? Jesus Christ is a living force. The name of Jesus is a corrective measure. Prayer in the name of Jesus Christ is a sealant. Amen. Employing the name of Jesus Christ is a game changer. Any day. Wake up, you lazy Christian you. You have overslept. Enough. Now it is time to stay awake. Get up! Repent. And pray. In the name of Jesus Christ. Remember, Jesus plus anything makes up a majority. Majority wins. Trust the might of your God. Make disciples of all nations. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. “... this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." (Acts 1:11).
Hello ... Church!!!

Children of God Almighty, we have got to do better. The Lord’s eyes are everywhere. Jesus Christ sees all.

Midnight Moments

Tonight my devotional thoughts strayed to concerns about how Reality TV has invaded so much of Television viewing space. For a few minutes I pondered that many have become so involved with such programming you no longer pay attention to the reality of your own life. One has only to turn on the television for a little "Let me see what's on TV" moment and there you have it ... "more reality". For many people sight of what is true and real becomes permanently blurred. My friend, beware how much time you spend feeding your mind with things and subjects that degrade your thought processes. Obsession with RealityTV is another ploy the Enemy has perfected to keep your eyes off Truth. Fill those wanting hours with time spent reading the Word of God Almighty. Being in the presence of the Holy Spirit. We are living in troubling times. It is best to ensure you are anchored in the Lord Jesus. Do not compromise your eternal happiness because of your negligence. Pay attention to your life. Careless living is costly.
Have a good nite. Sweet sleep till tomorrow morning!

Thoughtful Weekend Q&A

“The King of Glory comes the nation rejoices; Open the gates before him lift up your voices. Who is this King of Glory how shall we call him? He is Emmanuel the promise of ages.”

The Chorus is one I fondly recall from attendance at Mass during my primary school days in Fatima Elementary School. (Our Lady of Fatima Elementary and High school was a premiere learning institution in Harper Cape Palmas, Maryland County, Liberia West Africa.) The song is one of my current favorites for “humming-along” singing devotion. My friend, are you lifting up your voice in praise to the King of Glory? Is Jesus on your mind throughout the day, notwithstanding the busy business of everyday life? Do you make time to check in with the Lord—PRAY to God—in the Name of Jesus Christ? Have you set yourself aside as living sacrifice to the Lord? Can Almighty God count on you to exercise Godly restraint in your thoughts, words, deed, actions and reactions? Are you content knowing that God shall supply all your needs according to HIS riches in Glory? Do you trust Almighty God enough that you can say, “Yes, Yes Lord” at the end of each day?

What about should the Trumpet sound anytime now? Maybe today! Just before sunset? Are you saved by The Blood? I am talking Salvation—ACCEPT that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died on The Cross for your Redemption. BELIEVE that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. CONFESS your sins and ask the Lord Jesus for forgiveness—that is Salvation by grace. You cannot earn it. It has been paid for by Jesus Christ death on The Cross. We do not deserve it. Our Heavenly Father, Almighty God, gives it to us free of charge. We get the whole salvation stuff for FREE. And to top it off the King of Kings throws in mercy unlimited and grace unending. Amen.

“The King of Glory comes the nation rejoices; Open the gates before him lift up your voices. Who is this King of Glory how shall we call him? He is Emmanuel the promise of ages.”
My prayer for you and I is that we would continually lift our voices in praise and say “I say Yes Lord. Yes I will worship you with my time. Yes I will make you first in all I do. Yes you are worthy, O Lord God. Yes to your perfect will. Yes to your glorious handling of my circumstances. Yes I give my life to you.”

“The King of Glory comes the nation rejoices; Open the gates before him lift up your voices. Who is this King of Glory how shall we call him? He is Emmanuel the promise of ages.”
Enjoy a wonderful weekend. Make each moment memorable! Make it about Jesus. Do it for Christ.

Happy Birthday Mr. President

Today, August 4, 2015, I am holding up as a symbol of inspiration the person Barack Obama. As a servant of God who ministers about hope and trust in God Almighty, prayer and faith-based inspiration, specifically, ministering to the African continent, I find in this man’s story a huge reservoir of inspiration. I join my voice with all who wish him, “Happy Birthday, Sir”.

Hear Me: I am not talking about Barack Obama the politician or astute leader. Not about Barack the charismatic person, eloquent speaker or brilliant man. I am not talking about Barack Obama in any official capacity. Not the controversies or his legacy. None of that. Neither am I talking about the tall, fair dark, handsome gentleman…Lol! I am talking about the person God created.
I am talking about the manifestation of a miraculous generous God! I am talking about the power of an omnipotent God who has authority to make something incredible out of hardly anything. I am talking about Barack Obama the product of the Potter; the end result of the skilled craftsmanship of a Sovereign God. Infinite God who can raise a man with unanswered questions about his own heritage to being that same man who, today, spends every minute of his time in finding answers to other people’s problems, thereby shaping the lives of millions and impacting the world. When I hold up Barack Obama as inspiration for us all, especially we of African heritage, I am talking about hope for hopeless children. Hope for despondent adults. Hope for troubled people. Often, feeling stranded in their situations most Africans live only on hope from day to day. Clinging to a HOPE that in you lies greatness, yet to be harnessed. I am boasting about the power of an Almighty God who gives the chance of a lifetime to YOU who cannot fathom where life is taking you! I am talking about HOPE beyond one’s wildest most imaginative imagination.
That is what I see when I see Barack Obama. Flaws, imperfections, human weaknesses—no different from you and me—sinful human beings we all are. When I see Barack I see a humble spirit: Child of a loving, forgiving, understanding, gracious Father God Almighty. It is that child of God, who has come this far by sheer grace, of which I speak. The amazing grace of the Most High God on display that mankind may know with GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. May I encourage you, and myself, to always Hope and TRUST in Omniscient God and His timing. The Lord will bring you out like pure gold.

Happy Birthday, Barack Obama. Here's wishing you God's choicest blessings. Mr. President, if you continue to walk the path of Jesus Christ no limits apply to the joys of life it brings. Abundant life on earth and eternal life in heaven. So believe it or not, Sir, your greatest days are still ahead. Enjoy a terrific birthday!

While I continue to hopefully inspire you, please allow me to direct you to my December 3, 2014 Blog entry entitled, “Yes I Waved”.
My friend, do have yourself a great day! Remember, God’s got you fully covered.

Your Life and You

Live fully. Live your life to the fullest, in decency and tastefully. Be appreciative with life. Show gratitude in life. Pay attention to your life. Include Jesus. Do not let the world’s noise drown out God’s voice. Live your life with reverence to Almighty God. Enjoy the sweet moments. Accept all your moments. In God’s hands those are beautiful. Each moment is a reason to be thankful. Savor the moments of your life. Whatever you do, LIVE. Never contemplate quitting. Not for any reason. LIVE. At all cost. You do not have an alternative; I just took that away from you. I command you to LIVE. Jesus Christ said to tell you GO ON LIVING. You take one step and the Lord will complete your walk.

The Cross = Triumph

Never forget the love Almighty God has for you. Always remember the Sacrifice on The Cross. The glory comes after the cross. The victory follows the cross. Christ bore the CROSS for you. Take up your cross and follow Jesus. The reward is abundant life. Unspeakable Joy. Overflowing grace.  And when earthly life is complete there awaits a CROWN for you.
