Hello my dearest Liberian people. It is Saturday... Happy Weekend! I am here watching the lovely snowfall, drinking hot Milo with Carnation milk and GONE FROM PREACHING TO MEDDLING.
Uhm... When it comes to Liberia. All the different names vying for the Office can possibly do the job of President of Liberia. The real question is which one has the audacity to confront, deconstruct and dismantle the ingenious complex gangster corruption syndicate. Which one has the gusto to to look dear friends and associates in the eye and challenge them when they steal government resources. Which candidate has the stamina to resist the corruption demon running loose in town. The next president of Liberia must be somebody with steel rod spine to beat the demonic corruption bully out of the national mentality. Regardless how many friends it will cost you. This is the quagmire in Liberia politics.
In my Liberian voice "Plenty people scare for the syndicate to even crack small sef; that the whole issue; that why all the wahala; the corruption gangsters them don't want change." But God will force change to happen. Almighty God will force change. One fine day. Soon.
I believe one of societal Liberia's stumbling blocks is the inability to be objective and fair when it involves "your friend." We call it corruption only when the perpetrator is not your friend. How foolish. Sadly the entire country is a giant friend clique. More often than not personal biases supercede character and integrity.
That's your friend so what? When it is somebody else's friend we can argue this is wrong. When your friend does the exact same thing we argue this is alright. We make excuses and justify; you know... because... you see... but at least ... and say all kinds of gibberish to cover the fact. Really!? Wrong is Wrong regardless who does the wrong.
A nation that does not believe in holding the guilty accountable is what Liberia is. We forget it is people that are corrupt and corrupt activity such people engage in daily is called corruption. The kind of corruption that is killing human beings everyday in Liberia. Even blind can see. In Liberia blind eyes only see money.
Abject Poverty in this land of vast resources is overwhelmingly due to corruption embedded in every fabric of the Country. Politics. Business. Religion. Civil Society. Culture. Relationships. You name it. Everything! It will take governance by a cadre of visionary leadership of committed people with steel rod spine to break the ingenious complex gangster syndicate of corruption in Liberia that is thriving because of this suffocating "friend clique"... Touch not my friend mentality.
God Almighty can raise such a leader. When the people who know their God turn away from their close affinity to unrighteousness and their love for sinful living, Jesus will give us the strength and courage to rebuild our disintegrated nation. As long as we grade sin, corruption included, based on who commits it we will stay long inside! For the sake of posterity this must stop.
Repent. The Kingdom of Heaven is near. There are no different rules for Liberia. GOD way or no other way is permanent.
